Pork Chops with Italian Sausage Sauce Recipe

Pork Chops with Italian Sausage Sauce Recipe


INGREDIENTS:

  • Salt and pepper

  • 1 tbs. olive oil

  • 2 sweet Italian sausages

  • 1 medium onion

  • 1/4 lb sliced mushrooms

  • 1 minced or pressed clove garlic

  • 1/4 cup dry red wine

  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce

  • 1/2 tsp Italian herb seasoning

PREPARATION:

  • Sprinkle pork chops with salt and pepper

  • Brown the pork chops well on both sides in oil in a large frying pan

  • Remove the pork chops from the pan

  • Pour off and discard all but about 1 tablespoon of the pan drippings

  • Remove the casings from the sausages and crumble the meat into same pan

  • Mix in the onion and mushrooms

  • Cook stirring, until onions and sausage brown lightly

  • Mix in garlic and return the pork chops to the pan, spooning sausage mixture over them

  • Pour in wine and tomato sauce

  • Sprinkle with herbs and Bring to boiling

  • Cover the pan, reduce the heat, and simmer for 35 to 40 minutes until the pork chops are tender

Simple Beer Pork Chop Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 boneless pork chops

  • 1 c. of your favorite beer

  • 2 tbsp. of onion soup mix

  • 1 c. of sliced mushrooms

  • 1 can of cream of mushroom soup

PREPARATION:

  • Mix all the ingredients except the pork chop and the mushrooms

  • Cook the pork chops in a pan with the mushrooms

  • When the mushrooms are done, put them and the pork in an oven dish.

  • Add the onion mix on top.

  • Put a lid on the dish and put in oven at 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius) for approx. one hour

Pork Chops with Apple Gravy

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 pork chops

  • 1 oz butter

  • 2 Tbs olive oil

  • 1 onion

  • 1 Tbs flour

  • 1 beef stock cube

  • 1 cup apple juice

  • 1 large green apple

PREPARATION:

  • Heat the butter and olive oil in pan

  • Add peeled and sliced onion, cook until the onion is transparent and remove from pan

  • Add the pork chops, cook until brown on both sides and remove from pan

  • Add flour to the pan, cook stirring for 1 min

  • Add crumbled stock cube and apple juice
    mix well and stir until the sauce boils and thickens

  • Reduce the heat, return the chops and onions to the pan

  • Peel the apple, slice thickly and place it over the pork chops

  • Cover the pan, cook over low heat for 15-20 minutes or until the pork chops are tender

German Pork Chops Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 (14-ounce) cans sour cabbage, drained and rinsed

  • 2 teaspoons caraway seeds

  • 4 pork loin chops (1/2-inch thick)

  • Pepper to taste

  • 2 cooking apples, peeled, cored, and sliced

  • 2 tablespoons raisins

  • 4 teaspoons firmly packed brown sugar

  • 4 tablespoons apple juice or water

PREPARATION:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius)

  • Grease shiny side of four sheets of heavy-duty aluminum foil

  • Place sauerkraut into a colander; press out excess liquidPlace 1/4 of the sauerkraut onto the center of each sheet of aluminum foil; sprinkle caraway seed over the top.
  • Place pork chops onto top of sauerkraut and season with pepper

  • Arrange apple slices and raisins evenly over pork chops; Sprinkle each portion with 1 teaspoon brown sugar

  • Over each portion, spoon 1 tablespoon apple juice or waterTo wrap, bring two opposite ends of aluminum foil up and over, making a double fold to seal tightly
  • Close both ends and seal tightly

  • Place packets onto a baking sheet and bake for 1 hour or until thoroughly cooked

  • Carefully open the packets and transfer the pork chop mixture onto individual serving plates

Garlic-Lime Pork Chops Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/3 cup fat-free Italian salad dressing

  • 1/3 cup salsa

  • 4 1/2 teaspoons lime juice

  • 4 1/2 teaspoons minced fresh cilantro or parsley

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 1/4 teaspoons grated lime peel

  • 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

  • 6 boneless lean pork loin chops

PREPARATION:

  • Mix all the ingredients (except for the pork chops) in a bowl

  • Pour 1/2 cup of the mix into a large plastic container and add the pork chops

  • Seal the container (make sure the pork chops are covered) and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight

  • Cover and refrigerate the remaining marinade

  • Drain and discard the marinade from pork chops

  • Place the pork chops on a broiler pan rack and broil 4 in. from the heat for 7 minutes on each side or until juices run clear

  • Apply the reserved marinade while broiling
