Basil Fried Rice Recipe

The Basil Fried Rice Recipe is the ultimate fried rice recipe for Basil lovers.

Ingredients
  • 1.5 cups of long-grain rice
  • 30 ml oil
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped (increase to suit tastes)
  • 1-3 small fresh red chilies or green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 cup of fresh, halved mushrooms
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 small green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 bunch long beans or snake beans or green beans or French haricots vert, cut into short lengths
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 15 leaves basil
Directions
  1. Boil a medium pot of salted water
  2. Stir in the rice and boil for 10 minutes (until done)
  3. Drain the rice and set aside to cool
  4. Heat the oil In a wok or a skillet
  5. Add the garlic and chilies and fry until the garlic is light brown
  6. Add the mushrooms and onions, stir quickly
  7. Add cooked rice; stir thoroughly
  8. add the beans, peppers, and soy, stir thoroughly
  9. At the very end, stir in basil leaves and immediately turn into a serving bowl

Beef Fried Rice Recipe

The Beef Fried Rice Recipe is a delicious fried rice recipe for beef lovers, I hope you’ll enjoy it the way I did.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups of rice
  • 2 Tbs. soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbs. vegetable oil
  • 2 well beaten eggs
  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 chopped medium carrot
  • 1 chopped celery rib
  • 1 chopped scallion
  • 1 tsp. minced fresh ginger
  • 1 clove minced garlic

 

Directions:

  1. Boil a medium pot of salted water
  2. Stir in the rice and boil for 10 minutes (until done)
  3. Drain the rice and set aside to cool
  4. Mix the soy sauce, sugar, salt and pepper in a small bowl and set aside
  5. Heat oil in a heavy nonstick skillet over medium-high heat
  6. Cook the eggs for about 45 seconds until eggs are set, stirring constantly
  7. Transfer the eggs to a different bowl and set aside
  8. Add the ground beef, the carrot, celery and scallion to a pan over medium heat
  9. Sauté for 3 minutes, stirring often to break up meat, until browned
  10. Stir in ginger and garlic and cook for one minute
  11. Increase heat to high and add rice
  12. Stir-fry about 1 minute, until heated through
  13. Stir in soy sauce mixture and eggs and stir-fry 30 seconds longer

Cajun Fried Rice Recipe

The Fried Rice Recipe to make you south Louisiana’s folks feel at home.

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups of long-grain rice
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil, divided
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 teaspoons minced gingerroot
  • 3 teaspoons Tabasco sauce
  • 1/2 lb peeled shrimp
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons salt, divided
  • 3 tablespoons peanut oil, divided
  • 1 small onion, quartered and thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups bean sprouts
  • 3/4 cup frozen green peas
  • Pepper
Directions
  1. Boil a medium pot of salted water
  2. Stir in the rice and boil for 10 minutes (until done)
  3. Drain the rice and set aside to cool
  4. In small bowl mix the soy sauce, 1 tsp sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and 2 tsp Tabasco
  5. Stir in the shrimp and set aside
  6. In another bowl beat the eggs with 1/4 tsp salt, the remaining sesame oil, and Tabasco
  7. Heat a wok or large skillet
  8. Add 1 tbsp oil and shrimp mixture
  9. Stir-fry 3-4 minutes or until shrimps are done
  10. Remove from the wok or skillet and set aside
  11. Add another tbsp of oil to the wok and add the onion, stir-fry for one-two minutes and remove from the wok
  12. Heat the remaining 1 tbsp oil in wok and add the egg mixture
  13. Stir-fry until done (about one minute)
  14. Add the rice and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes
  15. Add everything to wok and cook 2 minutes longer
