Quick Chinese Fried Rice Recipe

A quick fried rice recipe that can be done in minutes if you have some leftover cooked rice (If using leftover cooked rice join the directions at step 4)

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups Minute Rice
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 lightly beaten egg
  • 1/3 cup chopped onions
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
Directions:
  1. Boil a medium pot of salted water
  2. Stir in the rice and boil for 10 minutes (until done)
  3. Drain the rice and set aside to cool
  4. Melt butter in a skillet
  5. Add egg and cook until set
  6. Stir in the onion and rice
  7. Mix 1/3 cup water and soy sauce; add to the rice
  8. Simmer for 5 minutes and serve

Bacon and Egg Fried Rice Recipe

Bacon and egg are always a good combination, as you can see on this great fried rice recipe.

Ingredients:
  • 3 cups cooked rice
  • 5 slices bacons - chopped into small pieces
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3 green onions - chopped into 1/4 inch pieces
  • 3 Tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 Tablespoons vegetable oil or canola oil or peanut oil
  • dash pepper
  • salt to taste
Directions:

  1. Fry pieces of bacon in a large skillet until crisp, drain and set aside
  2. Set bacon on a plate and clean the skillet for reuse
  3. Beat eggs in cup and scramble in a little oil in the skillet
  4. Set scrambled eggs on a plate and clean the skillet for reuse
  5. Heat the remaining oil in pan and add cooked rice
  6. Toss the rice to coat and add some soy sauce
  7. Add eggs, bacon pieces, pepper and salt (remember to go easy on the salt as the soy sauce is already salted
  8. Stir and for a couple minutes, add the onions and stir until done

Scallop Fried Rice Recipe

 

The Scallop Fried Rice Recipe is a delicious fried rice recipe for Scallop lovers.

You are welcome to try it, to try my other fried rice recipes and you’re more than welcome to leave a comment

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups of rice
  • 5 scallops
  • 4 stalks of thick stems kai lan
  • 1 smashed clove of garlic
  • 4-5 cups cooked rice
  • 1 egg’s white
  • 1 heaped tbsp of dried mini anchovies
  • 1 stalk of chopped green onions
  • white pepper to taste
  • salt
  • corn flour

Directions:
  1. Boil a medium pot of salted water
  2. Stir in the rice and boil for 10 minutes (until done)
  3. Drain the rice and set aside to cool
  4. Wash the scallops and pat dry so that you can sear properly (remember - moisture will cause the scallops to steam)
  5. Season scallops lightly with salt, pepper and corn flour
  6. Heat up 2 tbsp of vegetable oil in a wok over medium heat
  7. When oil is hot, transfer the scallops to the wok
  8. Sear the scallops until they turn golden brown (about 3-5 minutes on each side); Set aside.
  9. Cut the kai lan stems (at their cross section) into small pieces
  10. Add the kai lan pieces and smashed garlic to wok and allow to cook for about 2 minutes
  11. Set aside the kai lan pieces, leaving the garlic in the wok
  12. Add the cooked rice to the wok and use a spatula to mix the rice with the brown bits left in the wok by the scallops
  13. Make a small round space in the center of the wok; Add egg white and mix well with rice. Add dried mini anchovies and mix well
  14. Cut scallops into quarters
  15. Transfer the scallops, kai lan and green onions to wok
  16. Add a few dashes of white pepper, mix well and serve

Salmon Fried Rice Recipe

Salmon fried rice is a restaurant quality dish that is very easy to make.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups of long-grain rice
  • 3 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 (7 oz.) pouch pink salmon
  • 1 cup frozen baby peas
  • 2 lightly beaten eggs
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
Directions:
  1. Boil a medium pot of salted water
  2. Stir in the rice and boil for 10 minutes (until done)
  3. Drain the rice and set aside to cool
  4. Heat the olive oil in a heavy skillet or wok over medium-high heat
  5. Add the cool rice and stir fry for a minute
  6. Add the salmon and frozen peas and stir fry for until peas are hot (about 3-5 minutes)
  7. Push the rice mixture to the sides of the skillet or wok and add the beaten eggs
  8. Scramble the eggs until just set, then stir the scrambles eggs into the rice mixture
  9. Sprinkle with soy sauce and stir fry for another minute

Indian Fried Rice Recipe– Pure oriental pleasure

The Indian fried rice recipe is a refreshing and tasteful fried rice recipe.

You are welcome to try it, to try my other fried rice recipes and you’re more than welcome to leave a comment

Ingredients
  • 2 cups basmati rice
  • 250 g green beans
  • 250 g peas
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 3 teaspoons ghee
  • 8 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup cashews nuts
Directions

1. Boil a medium pot of salted water

2. Stir in the rice and boil for 10 minutes (until done)

3. Drain the rice and set aside to cool

4. Cut all the vegetables into long pieces

5. Pour the ghee in the frying pan and add the garlic and cashew nuts

6. Stir the mixture until slightly browned

7. Add the vegetables and fry until they are fully cooked

8. Add the spices

9. Add the rice, stirring well to coat with the spices, and fry until heated through and well mixed
