Fondant Recipe – Brandy’s experience

Brandy shows How to make fondant!

My Fondant Recipe brings a lot of mails and comments, but Brandy really got me speechless.

She followed my fondant recipe, and here’s what she wrote:

I tried your fondant recipe not only was it easy, but it tasted super! Thank you so much! Here is my cake. I think it turned out pretty well considering it is only the 2nd time I have used fondant.

Thanks Again

The reason for me being speechless is the quality if the cake she made in her SECOND attempt with fondant!

I must admit that m second attempt with the fondant recipe was much poorer than this, Brandy – I’ll be happy to post all pictures of future cake you make using my fondant recipe.

I really liked Brandy’s pink and zebra star cake…I was curious how she got the stripes in the fondant. If the cook duke or Brandy could explain it that would be great. Thank You and I can’t wait to try the fondant recipe. :)

I must try your cake and fondant recipe very, very soon! Will post you the pics! :) I’d like to know, if I wanted to make black fondant icing, i hear it’s best to put cocoa into your fondant so as to avoid using too much black colour (which can change the taste of your fondant). I would like to know how much cocoa i should put into your fondant recipe so as not to alter the final texture of my fondant. Will appreciate your help with this. Thanks, Aliya, 29. Nairobi, Kenya

    Hi Stephanie

The post you read is a little difficult to follow as it describes the experience Brandy had with the fondant recipe and not the recipe itself.

I suggest you read the original recipe at http://thecookduke.com/fondant-recipe/ if you still have questions after you read it you’re welcome to contact me and I’ll try to assist.

    Happy Cooking :)

I love your fondant as I’m finding it less messy to make and easier to work compared to marshamallow fondant. I have been having a problem with the fondant drying out considerably once I put it on the cake. Some of my pieces on the cake started breaking off. What am I doing wrong? I use Crisco considerably and it eventually will still dry out.
