Apricot Glazed Pork Chops Recipe
Ingredients:
- 4 pork rib or loin chops, 1/2 inch thick
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 TBS oil
- 1.3 cups (1 lb can) apricot halves (drain and reserve the liquid)
- Reserved apricot liquid, add water to make 1.5 cups
- 2 TBS cornstrach
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 2 TBS slivered almonds
Preparations:
- Sprinkle chops with salt
- Brown the pork chops in oil on both sides in a fry pan
- Add 1/2 cup of the apricot liquid
- Cover the pan, reduce the heat and simmer for ten minutes
- Combine the cornstarch and the remaining 1 cup of apricot liquid and Add to the chops
- Continue simmering, stirring frequently, until the liquid thickens
- Add apricots and almonds, cover and continue to simmer for 10 minutes
