Pork Chops with Apple Gravy

Pork Chops with Apple Gravy

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 pork chops

  • 1 oz butter

  • 2 Tbs olive oil

  • 1 onion

  • 1 Tbs flour

  • 1 beef stock cube

  • 1 cup apple juice

  • 1 large green apple

PREPARATION:

  • Heat the butter and olive oil in pan

  • Add peeled and sliced onion, cook until the onion is transparent and remove from pan

  • Add the pork chops, cook until brown on both sides and remove from pan

  • Add flour to the pan, cook stirring for 1 min

  • Add crumbled stock cube and apple juice
    mix well and stir until the sauce boils and thickens

  • Reduce the heat, return the chops and onions to the pan

  • Peel the apple, slice thickly and place it over the pork chops

  • Cover the pan, cook over low heat for 15-20 minutes or until the pork chops are tender
